Wallingford Modern Farmhouse Bathroom
This modern farmhouse bathroom was completely transformed from a non-functional space to a bathroom large enough for a family of four!
ABOUT THIS PROJECT
This home has 2 large bedrooms and a single bathroom on the upper level. The Phinery was hired to redesign the bathroom footprint and select new finishes, fixtures and cabinetry to allow the bathroom to be used by a family of four. There were several iterations of the layout before we finalized the perfect setup - a large shower on one side with a new window, a custom double vanity on the exterior wall, and a custom built-in on the vaulted wall to maximize storage. Black and white subway tile helps to create a farmhouse vibe, coupled with the charcoal herringbone floor tile to create pattern and contrast. The vintage clock, walnut shelves and baskets soften the whole space along with a touch of greenery. All of the elements came together in this modern farmhouse primary bathroom to create an inviting, functional upstairs bathroom space.

We decided to remodel our home in 2020 when the world shut down. A friend had worked with The Phinery and recommended I give them a call. It was the single most important call I made to assure the outcome I had envisioned! I know what I like when I see it and my design taste is eclectic of many styles. Becky helped me bring together my style in a way that worked AND suggested elements I wouldn't have thought of and enhanced the overall result. She had a vision and eye for design and made a recommendation on the layout of our master bath that the architect, contractor, my husband or I didn't think of after hours of trying to come up with a solution. Her suggestion completely changed the flow and I'm not exaggerating when I walk into my bathroom and thank her every day.
