ABOUT THIS PROJECT
The goal for this room was to elevate and simplify. It was really important to our clients to come away with a space that had clean lines and a true sense of calm and elegance. Mid-century furniture is present in several other areas of the home, so we echoed that same style when selecting a dining table and chairs. A deep navy rug, grounds the space and offers relief from the warm wood floors and furniture. Custom-designed and available exclusively at The Phinery, this rug is really what makes this entire space feel balanced. We always love incorporating window treatments into our projects and this one, in particular, is a great example of how even a simple, textured drapery can add sophistication to a room. By adding neutral custom drapery panels, we were able to create a very layered look that accentuates the large windows that let so much gorgeous natural light into this dining room. The dining room is visible immediately upon entering the home so our clients wanted a lighting in this space that would make a grand impression right away. We selected a statement-chandelier as a way of adding a focal point and a bit of personality in a very clean and bright space.
