This luxury spa retreat bathroom is nestled on the top floor of my our Capitol Hill home. The original design of this bathroom included a corner shower, 2 pedestal sinks, and a built-in tiled corner bathtub. Since the bathroom is used by a family of 4, it was important to bring more function to the space while also updating the overall look and style to be more fitting with the client’s design aesthetic. By rearranging the layout, we were able to achieve a walk-in open concept shower, a soaking bathtub, and a double vanity. The bathroom already had the skylights and decorative window, but a new window was added over the bathtub to create a focal point. The large glass shower wall keeps the bathroom feeling open, and does a great job of containing water in the shower area. We mixed metals with the polished nickel faucets and the oversized brass medicine cabinets. The wood vanity from RH adds another element of warmth to the room along with the decorative wall tiles from Seattle Tile. My favorite part of this spa retreat bathroom project is the gorgeous soaking tub, which creates a lovely oasis in this light-filled bathroom.
We always love working with Becky...for this bathroom she brought our vision to life both beautifully but also functionally, balancing a spa like dream with shared family space realities. We didn't realize all of the materials and choices we would have to make (there are so many details!) and Becky is a patient pro at providing choices, making decisions, supporting contractors and moving the project forward. She's an expert and a great partner!
